AWAKENING THE INNER ENERGIES WITH MUDRA YOGA
Workshop by Ram Vakkalanka
Mudra means “sealing or locking in” in Sanskrit. Mudras involve igniting and sealing in inner energies through the medium of the physical body. Energy, when sealed, is focused and unlimited in power. Accessing our unlimited inner power through the right application of Mudra can be learned.
Mudras – simple to complex – facilitate healing and meditation. Mudra practice, given its effect on the body, mind and consciousness, can be highly transformative.
Mudras can flow into one another or be sustained to direct the flow of Pranic energy for health, concentration and deeper spiritual awareness.
Mudras form integral part of the traditions of Tantra, Bhakti Yoga and Buddhism.
In this workshop, we will learn some simple and complex Mudras from Tantra and Hatha Yoga, their application as well as tips for their practice.
